05/16/2006: "More Lintiez"

Including the answer to the question everyone is (should be) asking: How do you even DRAW a sword that long?

One answer is: with a pencil!

But another answer is:
(1) start to draw it like any sworder would with his instrument of steely death
(2) throw the handle forward and away from you, hard enough that the whole blade makes it out of the scabbard
(3) having made sure to keep hold of the chain attached to the handle, save your sword from flying away
(4) give the chain a good yank, bringing the handle back towards you
(5) deftly catch it with the hand of your choice (the left one for Lintiez)
You are now ready to keep foes at bay without actually killing anyone unless they bodily throw themselves against your blade! Because this thing is too ungainly to maneuver with the swiftness of death.
