You'll note the blatant copyright in the middle of the picture. Apparently Jogging is indexed in Google image search now. Actually, perhaps three quarters of my hits come from there nowadays. Probably more. So, I had better protect my images somehow. They're just sketches, but still. I try to make it as unobstrusive as possible, while still being obstrusive. Right? Anyway. It hurts me more than it hurts you!

The path to nothingness

Well, okay, so it leads to something, but not something very fascinating.

I had this vague image in my head of what I wanted to draw, so I started doing faces. I started in the upper left corner, and went all the way down to the bottom right corner, in pretty much the pattern you see here. After that, I was mildly satisfied, so I drew the figure in the middle. I still like the middle-right and bottom-right faces most. Meh.

Flaky Pastry: Naked III

My red sketches for Flaky Pastry 3! As you can see, there's very little resembling panels anymore. Body parts get reused everywhere, with heads and facial expressions pasted in as necessary. Doesn't it kill the magic? :D The numbers next to each piece helps me remember in which panel it goes.

The couch/armchair/table were actually drawn in flash, with those vectorial lines. Then I printed the backdrop on a piece of paper, which I slipped under this page to determine the postitions I'd draw the characters in. You can see lots of corner marks all around them, those were made by looking at the furniture in transparency through the page. I usually still readjust a lot of stuff in Photoshop after inking and scanning, but it helps give me an idea of what I'm doing.

Notice Mona's instrument of justice next to her, which I ended up not including.

So, what do we do now?

I want to do more of these things. Little scenes... with one or more characters, mine or someone else's, or fanarted characters, or random undefined ones. Just little scenes that may or may not make sense, may or may not be funny, but are just cool in some way.

But I rarely have any inspiration for them. >_<
