Onward... to silliness!
I have long yearned to outfit the main page of Flaky Pastry with a splash image of sorts. Something to represent the comic, starring at least the three main characters. And to possibly, over time, do several of these, with different themes, in random rotation. But first, I needed a generic one, that could stand on its own. I believe I have acheived this in this sketch. Sometime I shall ink and colour it.
I can see Marelle going "Why is this necessary?!"
Aside: I am sad that she is turning out to be such a spoilsport. I shall need to coolify her sometime. She can still be a stabilizing influence to Zintiel and Nitrine without being a square.

Flaky Pastry: Naked IV
I haven't been drawing anything cool altely, so it's that time again! Take it all off, Flaky Pastry!
This time "Interviews: True Colours" gets the naked treatment. Not really much to say about this one, sadly. It was a fairly straight sketch-to-comic transition. It's interesting to note that the facial expressions were not decided upon until very near the end of the process, though. I'm happy with those I chose.

Webbity
I was thinking of drawing Aiidedis today. She's badass and callous. The question wandered through my mind at one point, of what kind of guy she would go for. Probably someone dangerous and fascinating, an enemy, someone with whom she could dance... to the DEATH. This made me think of black widow spiders, who are well known for what they do to their mates after mating. Let's see... black widow... Aiidedis? GOOD IDEA.
Since she's a shapeshifter, I just made her a new shape - the eighth one.

Carnie and Flouk
Technically, this title could also have been used for this entry. Anyway, you can tell I didn't spend much (or any) time looking for puppy reference pictures.
Look on the bright side, Carnie! At least you're not being brutally disemboweled by a pack of fanatical molemen with dull moleknives in a dank molecave! Of course, if that puppy had highly corrosive acid pee, it would be a different story.

Monochrome
This girl. I dislike being so unable to draw random stuff! But at least I can keep up my confidence in my own ability by drawing characters I already know.
EDIT: Cleaned up a few areas, but mostly made her skin whiter, for more contrast - and her eyes less black, so you can actually tell them apart from the eyelashes around them.
Also a comment... I call this "monochrome" and I'm not kidding. Apart from a hue layer that makes everything blue, this whole drawing was coloured in with overlapping layers of nothing but black and white.
