Finally, last in this series (or IS IT?!!), Aiidedis's first, most frequent, "normal" form. ...it looks human! Boring, isn't it?

Seventh and (for now) final form. That is, for her. -I- srill have one form to draw. This one can fly and shoot energy blasts, among other things! Woohoo! Oh yeah, its working name is 'Avatar'.

Once more, out of order! Form number 2, the Goliath. Ten feet tall, really strong, with thick skin and thick bony plates in several places. A real bruiser form. Prehensile feet give it some edge when climbing, but its mobility is usually a big drawback. Not very feminine, eh?

Aiidedis's second most ultimate form! Number 6, codename 'Lamia'. Besides its obviously aquatic possibilities, it has squishy skin that heals very quickly, and that huge shelled brain boasts mega telepathic powers. No telekinesis, but mindreading, suggestion, possession, you name it, it has it. That's why it's so big.

Continuing in the Aiidedis series, this is her second form, 'Lagomorph'. This bunny-monkey, at one foot in height, is obviously her weakest form for combat, but it has other uses, with its accute senses and colour-shifting fur.

AND its cuteness!

And anOTHER form of Aiidedis. This is the fourth one, which I call 'Hellhound', the reason for which will become very obvious when it's coloured. As if the evil grin wasn't enough.

Rawr! I just got to thinking lately, how much I liked the designs I came up with for the seven forms of my shapeshifter, Aiidedis. (They're neato-looking AND functional. Not only that, she's a cool character) So I drew one. This is her fifth form, which I call 'Mantis'. It has lots of spiky bits and is very fast and armoured and has a poisonous tail, woohoo. I've successfully inked it and am working on a colour version, yeah! I might just draw her 6 other forms, too.

Aye aye aye

An idea for a captain for that boat I keep posting about. This character, this one, this one, and this one are all part of the crew on the ship in question. I don't really like this captain too much. He's kinda... short. His face is alright, but maybe more for a first officer who yells and grumbles to get the captain's orders obeyed. Flux flux and flux.

FEED ME

I'm not running out of ideas, but I -am- running out of ideas for big, interesting drawings, that I'd really WANT to take the time to ink and colour. Usually once the pencil sketch is over, everything else is a chore for me. But I NEED to keep in practice with the rest, too o.0

So if you have any IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS, CHALLENGES.. let's hear them. You can leave a comment right here. Keep in mind that I may not do what you suggest, or may just do it as a pencil sketch also :p But if it does get my imagination going, then I may just make a big shiny picture from it.

Blah Blah Blah

It's a drawing of Nitrine, ho-hum. I pretty much like the whole rendering of it, the harmony of the lines, the forms, the details... but baaaaaah. The pose is so... nothing! It's static, and pointless. Then there's the screwy left leg, not to mention the atrociously skewed left foot. I could fix those problems, of course, after all I intended to ink and colour this, but baaaaaah again. I'm not sure I even like the outfit.

What could have been a very good drawing, is just... blah.

Out with the old, in with the old

2004-12-06 (58k image)
I've been thinking of populating a boat with a crew lately. This guy was part of the crew, and now this guy as well. I'd been wracking my mind for a good engineer since last week, and I just ended up recycling an old concept, like I do sometimes. This was a character that didn't exist for long and that I never really liked anyway, but now he's BETTER. So here's Kurtn Stein, the senior engineer on ... that boat, which has no name yet.

Addendum: I wanted him to be shortish, and sort of handsome, but in a way most people wouldn't appreciate. ;) I like his big elbow gloves. Good for reaching into oily engines with whirling choppy bits without getting hurty-dirty. He had cottails originally, but those would get caught in engines, so = bad. His axe is... a prized invention.

I got the idea one day of making a character who's name was Croissant. That's right, Croissant. And that's her. The small drawing comes from sometime much earlier this year, and the big one from last week. I like the little one better, actually. There's no real story to her - for a while I considered making her part of a group whose names were based on the phases of the moon (Croissant, Demilune, Claire, etc.), but that didn't tickle my imagination much. I have a character named Croissant, and that's enough for me.

"Hi! I'm Riel. You might remember me from such Jogging entries as What my sketches usually look like and... well, that was the only one."

Yeah, it's that young pilot. He flies the small recon plane of a dimension-hopping airship with a fascinating crew... that I still need to create. I like his name, Riel, it makes sense in several ways, which I won't get into, but sadly it's a lot like Zintiel, and the two might have to coexist at some point... and that'd be weird. Buuuh. Anyway, this guy is a boyscout who was born with a passion for flying.

Have a Shiny Christmas!

2004-12-1 (41k image)
I was thinking of my fur-wearing, bubble-blowing, platinum-haired princess jewel thief, when I realized: she has a fur coat, it would be easy to make it red and white and make a christmas pic with her! Which I went on to not really do... but this is something, anyway. Carmine red col-erase.
